Dr. Pavan Kooner was born and raised in Abbotsford, and moved to Kelowna, BC for his undergraduate degree where he completed his Bachelor of Science Degree, Majoring in Biology. After graduation, Dr. Kooner moved to Vancouver to attend Dental School at the University of British Columbia where he graduated the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program. Dr. Kooner then moved to Grande Prairie Alberta to obtain more dental experience and provide care for an underserviced population.
During his time in Grande Prairie, Dr. Kooner advanced his skills in root canal therapy, dental surgery including wisdom teeth extractions, and comprehensive care for children. After some time, Dr. Kooner decided that moving back to Abbotsford with his wife was the ideal next chapter in their lives.
As a general dentist, Dr. Kooner has taken it upon himself to further his dental education by taking courses teaching:
Dr. Kooner enjoys all aspects of dentistry and continues to take courses in order to better care for his patients; he especially enjoys treating children, cosmetic dentistry, and oral surgery. Dr. Kooner is a member of the Canadian Dental Association and the British Columbia Dental Association.
Dr. Kooner, known to his friends as Pav, couldn’t do what he does without the support of his wife Sandeep. Pav and Sandeep enjoy numerous activities around Abbotsford such as hiking, golf, kayaking, and spending time with friends and family.
